The activity of Fiocchi Prym starts in the early twentieth-century as manufacturing of cold formed small metal articles.   The company progressively shifts its orientation from the process to the products, specifically to press fasteners; at the end of the fifties a complete range of press fasteners is available, distributed mainly through indirect channels.   Starting from the eighties the product range, in the meanwhile widened to jeans buttons and rivets, fashion accessories and attaching machines, is directly proposed to the customers through a national network of agents and through foreign subsidiaries.   In 1992 the company, by then the italian leader and an internationally acknowledged brand, becomes part of the Prym Fashion group, the european market leader. Fiocchi Prym nowadays represents one of the most advanced and effective technical and commercial set-ups within the group.
